We are delighted to announce that Ben’s Bells will be joining us at Kidologie this year!
The simple kindness of strangers and friends . . . sustained Jeannette Maré, Dean Packard and their son, Matthew, after their child, Ben, died just before his third birthday. Inspired by these gestures, they created the Ben‛s Bells Project, a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization that demonstrates and encourage intentional kindness.
“Our mission is to inspire, educate and motivate each other to realize the impact of intentional kindness and to empower individuals to act according to that awareness, thereby strengthening ourselves, our relationships and our communities.”
Through the creation and distribution of Ben‛s Bells – beautiful ceramic hanging works of art inspired by the spirit of Ben Maré Packard – and our Kindness Education programs in schools, workplaces and neighborhoods, diverse individuals are unified in a powerful network of mutual support.
During the event, participants will form beads with clay. The bell-making process is a community activity because not one person or organization will ever start and finish their very own Ben’s Bell; in fact, it takes 10 different hands to make one Ben’s Bell.
Ben’s Bells has also donated Kindness Coins which will be found in the Signature Goody Bags distributed at the door to the first 300 families.
